Market House, a fixture on Coldharbour Lane for eight a long time – and a creating with a record as a consuming institution – is to reopen as an Indian diner.

Bringing the new establishment, Karakana, to existence will be Jez Galaun and Mike, founders of Brixton Brewery.
They are joined in the undertaking by govt chef Rivaaj Maharaj, and Tim Anderson, Masterchef winner and creator of Japanese restaurant Nanban, just throughout the street.

Karakana is Hindi for “workshop” and, say the group, “this name represents the tricky function and artistic procedure that went into the building of this fascinating new venue”.
