“The guiding principles for your Burien Police Section are making belief, combating criminal offense and supporting every other,” Main Boe reported. “So creating trust signifies that each individual make contact with and every single conversation we have with people today is an prospect to establish trust, not only in ourselves but also in our job. That means not just the local community member, but also the human being we arrest, also the other legislation enforcement companions, the business community – each individual conversation is about that opportunity to create have confidence in in our profession. Fighting criminal offense is the concept that we have to address felony behaviors in our neighborhood, and we also have to search at extended expression methods to cutting down criminal offense in our neighborhood. So fighting crime is both of those sides of that discussion.”

Boe extra that the department’s reaction to House’s Letter contains:

    • Emphasis Patrols – Bike and Foot Beats
    • Modified Detective Hrs
    • Additional Outreach/Partner Requests
    • Storefront Officer Partnership with Find Burien Collaboration (Metro, Keep Protection and DOC)

“And I seriously basically believe that it is a team activity,” he extra. “It’s not that police are going to fix all criminal offense in our local community but relatively we have some collective strategies to minimize crime in our neighborhood, and supporting each and every other is a recognition that if the gentlemen and gals doing the job in the Burien Law enforcement Section are not supported with education and tools and high quality leadership, what we’re heading to locate is that they are not likely to supply the company you want delivered on the aspect of the highway, in purchase to combat criminal offense and build trust. So, it is a 3 legged stool the place each of these items have to reside in some type of stability.”
