Dr. Robert D. Buchanan, for whom the University of Maine Buchanan Alumni Dwelling is named, passed away Aug. 11, 2021, in Pueblo, Colorado, his home for the earlier 16 several years. He was 99.

Born on Could 8, 1922, Buchanan grew up in Caribou, where he graduated from high faculty in 1939. He went on to attend the University of Maine as a zoology significant and was a proud member of the Course of 1944. He graduated from Tufts College University of Dental Medicine in 1946.

He is survived by his son, Robert Buchanan, his daughter, Lisa Buchanan, and their households. He also is survived by his second wife’s son, Micky Bonham, and daughters, Ga Walker, Susie Galer and Peggy Cronin, and their family members.
