Rosanna’s Italian Kitchen, the next venture for the entrepreneurs of the pub Dove + Deer in Albany, opens Tuesday (8/25).

Situated in the setting up that was home for a long time to the cherished Bongiorno’s Cafe, opposite Dove + Deer at the corner of State and Dove streets in the Center Sq. community, Rosanna’s will take its identify from Rosanna Bongiorno. She ran the prior restaurant with her husband, Felix, for 41 yrs, right until the couple retired in spring 2019.
The making, at 23 Dove St., was crafted in 1844-45. In accordance to promotional product, “It most notably housed the Coley sisters, who opened a school for young ladies and kids. Less than their tenure, the developing also served as a meeting house for the Albany Women’s Suffrage Culture and the Women’s Christian Temperance Motion.”
The 15-month renovation was overseen by homeowners Brianne Baggetta and Timothy Dillon. The chef, Prosperous Torino, formerly was at The Cuckoo’s Nest in Albany and Peck’s Arcade in Troy. The front-of-hour supervisor, Moriah Dohner, labored at Jack’s Oyster Property in Albany.
Rosanna’s will provide 4 to 10 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday, with dine-in only to start out. Seating indoors and at patio tables will be obtainable. Simply call 518-462-9176.
